Dr Chris Turner LRCP MRCS MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DCH OStJ
Chris brings a wealth of experience to the board, having been a GP in Derby City for 33 years. Formerly a GP Appraisal Lead for Derby City, Appraiser Trainer, GP trainer, he also held the positions of Chair of Vale of Trent Faculty Board RCGP (2009-2012) and President of The Derby Medical Society (2005-6). Having acted as Senior Partner at his practice from 2003 till his semi-retirement, Chris has adjusted his work life balance to spend time with his four grandchildren and indulge his passion for travel. However, he continues work as a GP Appraiser and Appraiser Trainer, and remains committed to ensuring that patients in Southern Derbyshire have access to good local Personal Medical Services delivered from thriving practices

A quantity surveyor by profession Jeff has recently retired after many years in the construction industry where he held a number of executive directorships with both large construction companies and consultancies. Jeff is very familiar with company governance, commercial disciplines, bid submission and budgetary control. He has also developed a number of innovative and risk sharing contract models whilst working as a partnering advisor. Working in the social housing sector on very large regeneration projects has given experience of working with a number of stakeholders within the Government regulated public sector environment. Since retiring Jeff has been very active in his village community in a number of roles to promote community cohesion and sustainability Jeff joined the Board in August 2013, Chairs the Remuneration Committee and is Vice Chairman of the board.
Orlando Hampton MBA, Ba (Hons), CMgr MCMI
Orlando joined the board of Alexin Healthcare in October 2014 as a Non-Exec Director, bringing with him his experience from a career spanning manufacturing, recruitment, retail, business management and, since 2009, the NHS. As a Portfolio Lead at Health Education England he is responsible for leading transformation programmes based on national and local NHS workforce priorities across Midlands and East. Orlando’s work with Primary Care includes CPD services for GPs and most recently programme managing the Primary Care Workforce Commission, chaired by Prof. Martin Roland and published July 2015. Orlando is Chair of the governing body of a large inner city primary and spent 8 years as a director of a charity. He lives in Nottingham with his partner Alys, a jewellery designer, and their two daughters Matilda and Florence.
Dr David Atherton
Qualified from Leicester University in 1990 and then undertook the GP training scheme at Burton Hospital qualifying in 1995. Worked as a Locum in Australia before returning to the UK and securing a partnership at Balance Street in Uttoxeter. Since then has undertaken a variety of roles in GP as an education facilitator, QOF assessor and more recently in commissioning before joining the team at Alexin at the end of last year. Outside work interests include keeping fit generally through either football, rugby, cycling or skiing.
Dr Paul Joshi
Paul has been a GP Partner at Tamworth, Staffordshire for the last 7 years. He is also an Executive Member of the BMA West Midlands Regional Council. He has also been pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Health Management which helps him to understand the Management speak. He is also extremely interested in Health Informatics and use of Information Technology in Health Care and has made significant changes at his surgery. He is adept at looking at the whole system and then focussing on the areas for improvement, identifying areas of potential, and is keen to try disruptive technologies in Health Care. He also derives inspiration on high quality but cost effective Health care from his experience working for a Missionary Hospital in India. He enjoys playing badminton, cycling and building robots with his son Alan in his spare time.
Dr Liam O'Hara

Graduated from Liverpool in 1985 (MB ChB) and went on to complete further study in Nottingham (Trent- LLM) in 2004. He is a GP in Willington, Derbyshire and has also worked as a GP appraiser supporting local colleagues in their continuing professional development. In his role as a non-executive director Liam shares his skills and experiences in clinical governance and Primary Care services delivery.
